Ulricehamn-Folkets Hus

A couple of days after arriving in Borås I went with friends to the neighbouring town of Ulricehamn to see a performance of La Boheme, transmitted from the Met in New York - an excellent production, and this old Folkets Hus (we'd probably call it the community centre) in the town was the venue. This was shot with my Huawei phone.

Unable to comment much I’m afraid - picked up a strain of Aussi flu in Sweden, which my flu jab in the uk didn’t protect me against.

It seems your new smartphone cam has a bias towards blue skies, Tom.

Strahns usually spell Aussi as Aussie. One wonders what an Aussie flu is doing in Borås?
A very nice photo - I love those gold tones!

i like the architectural design and the brilliant colors

get well !
What a delightful venue, Tom. It sure would be hard to miss.

So sorry about your flu. It's so true that the strains are different in different countries. That's why my doctor told me to always get my flu shot here in the Netherlands instead of in America when I'm there each October.

I love that glowing yellow ochre against the deep blue of the sky. Sorry to learn that you have flu, nasty business. I have had a cold and cough for nearly 5 weeks.

Looks like a nice place to see La Boheme. Aussi/Aussie/Ozzie flu - sounds dangerous ...
Hope you feel better soon Tom. It has been a bad winter for flu and other virus infections.

A really beautiful house, the right venue for the wonderful opera.
Yes, there are two sorts of flu vaccination in our country, the best one is against B-virus, the Aussie flu.
Good wishes for you, I hope you find some TLC, a word we learnt yesterday in our English lesson.
A fine looking building.
Ha ha.. I thought it was old folks house _ this old Folkets Hus
get well soon, Tom. i like the blue-white-gold shades here.
