They are both quite "handsome", Tom.
Tom Wilson: I thought you'd approve, Ray - and you'll enjoy tomorrow's even more smile

I like the knockers smile A fine view of a duck's a*se from yesterday.
Tom Wilson: Mmm - I have a disturbing feeling that you are being ever so slightly rude, Alan - you'll probably have even more cause tomorrow.

That would catch anyone's eye, Tom. A rose between the thorns? smile
Tom Wilson: Tomorrow's is even more eye-catching!
well, that is some ornament on the wall, not my taste
Tom Wilson: Yes, I'm curious as to date - I think those houses were built somewhere between 1890 and 1910
This is a great find Tom and i like the way that you framed it....great light and shadow.... and the center if this shot seems to be the focal point(s)grin....petersmile
Tom Wilson: I think you'll enjoy tomorrow's even more, Peter.
What sort of establishments would these be in Amsterdam then Tom, and where are the windows for the occupants?
Tom Wilson: This is just part of a street of houses - Transvaalkade - on the edge of Amsterdam, running alongside the Ringsdijk canal. They are just normal houses, or in some cases conversions to apartments, probably very middle class occupancy when they were built at the turn of the 20th century - now a little less so - a very mixed area. Just behind this street were apartment blocks that appeared to be mainly occupied by immigrants from Africa and Latin America. You can see the windows on the next picture.
