Could be a Curly-coated Retriever...male...Tom.
Tom Wilson: You might well be right, Ray.
He actually looks more like a wagger than a guard! And I like that idea!
Tom Wilson: He does, doesn't he!
Guarding? He looks to be a big softee.
Tom Wilson: Appearances can be deceptive, Richard smile

That's interesting Tom: why a dog I wonder?
Tom Wilson: Presumably the Londonderry's liked 'em, Chris.

Interesting its normally a lion
Tom Wilson: The lion was yesterday, V - smile
Like the ageing of time on this Tom interesting.
Tom Wilson: It's certainly got a nice patina.
he won't byte though
Tom Wilson: Probably not, Chantal - he won't lick you, either!
He's a lovely fog and really inexpensive to feed
Tom Wilson: One advantage of statuary!

He hardly looks scarey!! What a wonderful sculpture!
Tom Wilson: I did think it was a good piece of work.
Love the sweet expression on his face, Tom, and it seems as if by raising his left paw like that he wants to shake hands. Not the usual ferocious dog you see guarding the entrance.
Tom Wilson: Yes, he's a friendly looking chappy!

He's no guard dog, he wants to play Tom.
Tom Wilson: Unfortunately, he's not going to get the chance, Chad smile
He looks friendly Tom!
Fine capture.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Richard.

Half dog, half...lion? smile
Tom Wilson: Mmmm - I think entirely dog, Ginnie!
A fine sculpture with that lovely green patina from ageing.
Tom Wilson: Yes, I wouldn't have minded carrying it home, if I could have got it off the plinth!
Not the most intimidating guard dog
Tom Wilson: His bark is worse than his bite, Bill.

"Come near me and I'll give you a good licking! You've been warned!" I like twisted shrub things very much.
