The Pinta theme continues ashore, since this hotel is named after the Captain. I assume that, originally, it was something other than an hotel, but I can't find anything about its history. The rather box-like bay windows on the upper floors are a feature of houses in the province. Juan Carlos has described them as glassed-in verandas and I suspect that this is the case - glassed-in because the weather in this part of the world is somewhat more uncertain than it is in southern and eastern Spain.
