Oh very agonized Tom!
Tom Wilson: As well he might be!
So often sculptors do not finish eyes. Even sleeping eyes have detail.
Tom Wilson: It could be worn, Mary - I've no idea how old this statue is - could even be ancient Greek!
Beautifully presented Tom!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Richard.
A nice crop of this piece Tom, there were many interesting bits and pieces in the Hall but I wouldn't have wanted to live there myself.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Martin - yes, a trifle big for my taste - but I wouldn't have minded having his private apartment!
He looks a bit of a poseur Tom
Tom Wilson: Probably paid to do so, Bill smile
That's a good one Tom, I just took a shot of the whole thing.
Tom Wilson: I got one of the whole statue too, then thought a closer shot might be more interesting smile

He looks in pain, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Probably frustration at being neither one thing nor another!
I think the sculptor liked curly hair...
