photoblog image Fujifilm X E-1

Fujifilm X E-1

Most of the pictures from Shugborough - and many from previously - were taken with the Fujifilm X E-1, which has now gone to the great trade-in heaven.  A radical replacement has taken place - the Fujifilm X E-2s, which is all of 1mm thinner :-)  I blame a certain Shutterchance member, present at Shugborough, whose enthusiasm for his X E-2 led me to make this momentary financial lapse.

Le numérique est quand même plus pratique.
Tom Wilson: Oui, c'est vrai, Martine - et Fujifilm est numerique. smile
you have taken very good care of your XE-1 Tom... i hope that you enjoy your new one....petersmile
Tom Wilson: Original box and even original plastic bags for all components, Peter smile Of course, I just had to change the body since the lenses all fit.
Glad to see you being consistent...
Tom Wilson: My middle name, Larry.

It served you well, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Indeed - a lovely little camera and the 2s is even better.

I don't know much about Fujifilm cameras Tom but having seen the results online from the X E-2 I think you have made a good decision
Tom Wilson: They're a joy to use, Chris.
Enjoy your new toy Tom.
Tom Wilson: I shall, Michael smile
They are great cameras
Tom Wilson: Fine pieces of gear, Bill and excellent lenses.
It's been a great companion to you Tom!
Tom Wilson: I take it everywhere, Richard.
I had a wonderful thing happen. A friend came by to show me his new to him film camera that he bought for 50 bucks. I dug mine out and he said, "The lens on this fits your current camera too." I had no idea that lenses were interchangeable between film and dslrs. I now have a versatile 28-90 mm lens to use.

Something new in our camera bag is exciting!
Tom Wilson: The lenses may be interchangeable, Mary, but aren't always suitable - the lens design for film cameras and digital cameras differ - there's a little bit about it here: http://www.chriscamera.com/lenses4digital.htm - however, give it a go and see how it turns out!

a new bit of kit is always fun
Tom Wilson: That's certainly true, Paul
I know how you feel Tom, I have used my Canon G10 quite a lot as my compact over the years and was, still am, quite happy with it, and then I decided to get my Lumix DMC-TZ60, now the G10 never comes out of the cupboard!
Tom Wilson: There's a lot to be said the TZ series, Brian - I probably use mine even more than the Fuji!
