Hmmmm! Not convinced these industrial ceilings are right for this kind of show, Tom.
Tom Wilson: It's a converted textile factory, Ray - not a purpose built gallery. Curiously, I didn't even see the ceiling when looking around smile

Je trouve ce musée très austère.
Tom Wilson: Oui - il est in ancienne usine de textile
I really like the photo, Tom!
Tom Wilson: It's a fascinating museum.

I looked at this series and I think this will be a wonderful exhibition. Great designs by famous people.
Tom Wilson: I found it very interesting to discover the number of famous artists who contributed textile designs.
Coming out very nicely in this austere decor Tom!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Richard.

An interesting place to visit I'm sure Tom
Tom Wilson: It certainly is, Chris - I visited it a couple of times previously when it was in another building in a different part of the town.
It looks so spacious Tom, which must be great for setting the displays to be seen at their best.
Tom Wilson: I think that's the big advantage of using a former textile factory - lots of space with no interior walls, that they can subdivide with temporary structures.
I would really love this exhibit. I love vintage clothes.
Tom Wilson: It would be a treat for you, Mary. smile
I like the lighting, Tom.
Tom Wilson: It was excellent, Frank- very well thought out.
An interesting place Tom. Even though I am no follower of fashion, looking back at designs is interesting
Tom Wilson: An earlier exhibition I saw there some years ago was a reproduction of Tutankamun's robes, etc. Reconstructed using the methods employed by the ancient Egyptians, which, apparently survive in country districts in Egypt. The robes were reconstructed by a staff member of the Textil högskolan and went on display around Europe.
I've done a lot of sewing in my day, Tom, and have a love for fabric, as does my younger sister who quilts. We'd both enjoy this museum.
