photoblog image Tewkesbury Abbey 3

Tewkesbury Abbey 3

A similar view to yesterday's image, but derived from three shots, all (completely against the usual rules) underexposed, merged in Lightroom's HDR merge function.  I was amazed that it turned out like this.

You would have to be pleased with this outcome, Tom?
Tom Wilson: Absolutely! Although it's Lightroom that should be complimented smile
Sometimes we get some nice surprises, like this!
Tom Wilson: Once you start twiddling, you never know what's going to come up!
A pleasant outcome Tom!
Tom Wilson: I thought so, Richard.

A favourite building of mine, Tom
Tom Wilson: I can see why, Lisl.
Lightroom has worked well for you Tom
Tom Wilson: It's a great package.
Did you know, Tom, that this abbey church was only saved from the state marauders (I can't believe it's not ISIS) because the people of the town did not have a church and were allowed to purchase it.
Tom Wilson: Yes, indeed and I worked out that they paid the equivalent of about 2 million pounds!
That worked well, Tom.
Tom Wilson: It did, didn't it.
I like the slight angle.
Tom Wilson: I was probably resting the camera on one of the chairs at the side of the nave.
It's turned out to be an excellent image Tom, what a lovely building.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Brian - yes, you must stop by at the next opportunity.
it is a different point of view than yesterday and your treatment turned out great....petersmile
