Almada lift

The lift from the riverside up to the Christ statue and chapels.  Or you could walk up those steps :-)

The steps seem quite gentle, Tom.
Tom Wilson: But there's a lot of them!
Il faut être courageux pour monter toutes ces marches.
Tom Wilson: C'est vrai, Martine!

This could come into the great lifts of the world category Tom
Tom Wilson: I've never seen another like it, Chris - it may be unique!
No one on the stairs it seems.
Tom Wilson: No - I guess the lift was favourite!
For me lift going up, stairs coming down, the lazy way smile
Tom Wilson: That would suit me, Brian!

I trust you took the steps, Tom! I would have given it a go but then regret my decision before I even got halfway.
Tom Wilson: I didn't do either, Alan - this was taken from in front of the restuarant from which yesterday's pic was shot - and I got up there by car, driven, fortunately, by a local friend!
Quite something, Tom, we would take the steps...smile
Heavenly lifting smile
