The hoss is handsome, Tom, but the King looks like a bit of a fop.
Tom Wilson: He was a bit of a fop, but he had the guts to side with Britain in the Peninsula Wars, against Franc and Spain
A very impressive monument,Tom.
Tom Wilson: As Chad says, designed to impress!
Magnifique statue bien travaillée.
That is a wonderful statue, Tom!
Tom Wilson: Well done, isn't it?

This is wonderfully grand Tom. I guess he was a great monarch although I have to admit I've never heard of him before today..
Tom Wilson: He's the king who refused to help France and Spain against Britain in the Napoleonic Wars.
Typical style of power symbolism Tom. Remind the people of their position.
Tom Wilson: Or of their past glories?
Oh my! Too much.
Tom Wilson: A bit over the top, eh?
the lower half is, in my opinion, more well done and eye grabbing, Tom. and it is in very nearly spotless condition!
Tom Wilson: All cleaned up in preparation for the Portuguese saint's day smile i.e., St. James.
We will forgive him this vain pose as he was on our side
Very well kept I see...
