Roofscape

Last of this short series from Lisbon's Oriente Station.  The architect for the entire complex was Santiago Calatrava, who is also responsible for this construction:

A wonderful finale, Tom...makes me feel like I am standing under a coconut palm.
Tom Wilson: Exactly - palm trees are brought to my mind!
Quelle beauté, j'adore !
Tom Wilson: Merci, Martine.
Oooh! I'd have to just sit on a bench and look up at this for hours! Nice crop!

His style is certainly distinctive Tom
Tom Wilson: It certainly is - you can see that the Toronto one is definitely the same architect.

Fabulous! It looks so clean and lets in so much light. His Toronto creation works well too with the older buildings.

Wonderful, one would forget to read the signs, when looking up.
Tom Wilson: That would certainly be a hazard!
This almost makes me think of water crystals forming in sub zero temperature Tom. I really like this photo.
Tom Wilson: It's a stunning roof!
Reminds me of a roof of flowers. I can imagine it in colour as I have been in Chihuli-ville.
Tom Wilson: Ah! So you've seen his Toronto construction.
joliment graphique! amitiés
Tom Wilson: Merci, Jean Pierre.

What a cornucopia of light might be streaming through this roofscape- fascinating image!
Tom Wilson: You feel as though you are in the open air - and, of course, you are, because this is the platform level, and there are no side-walls
this is exactly what i expected inside Tom... well done....petersmile
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Peter - fine engineering, eh?
