Are we in Dracula territory, Tom?

I read Bram Stoker's masterpiece when I was about 12 years old, and it left me permanently impressionable.
Tom Wilson: No - that's a good deal further south, south east, Ray - Transylvania is the central part of modern Roumania - about 2000 kms away smile I can see why you raise the question!
i like this view down the cable car, excellent atmosphere because of the mist.
Tom Wilson: It was a very wet day - this was during a short pause in the rain.
The mist brings a layer of mystery.
Tom Wilson: Yes, misty views tend have that effect, don't they?
A lovely view, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Frank.
This makes for a really lovely image, Tom!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Elizabeth.

A pleasing view Tom, the cable car saves a lot of foot wear I'll wager..
Tom Wilson: Indeed it does - a seven and a half-minute ride avoids perhaps an hour's walk through the forest, across the river and up the hill!
That would be fun, Tom!
Tom Wilson: It was a nice, comfortable, stable ride, Ginnie.

That must have been quite a chilly descent, Tom
Tom Wilson: Not too bad - I was prepared for the weather smile
It looks a pleasant enough place Tom, despite the mist.
Tom Wilson: It is indeed - although somewhat blighted by the huge spa hotels that have gone up.
I imagine this is a nice little town on a sunny day
Tom Wilson: Yes, it is basically houses in a forest smile

Great picture. I would be uncomfortable if a cable car was to cross my living space.
Tom Wilson: Actually, I don't think it goes directly over any housing - the cable car station is on the edge of the city centre and the cable is travelling over forest, right from the start.
jolie vue brumeuse!! amitiés
Tom Wilson: Merci, Jean Pierre.
Nice view looking down despite the mist.
Tom Wilson: An altogether pleasant trip, in spite of the weather!

A wonderful view, Tom. I think it was worth the trip with the cable car.
Tom Wilson: Oh, it was well worth the trip - and, as an oldie, I got a cheap rate on the car smile

Not the best of days to get any decent views unfortunately. It does make it atmospheric, though.
Tom Wilson: I probably wouldn't have bothered to take the pic on a fine day smile
It looks long-lasting...
Tom Wilson: It's been there a while now, Larry - dating back to the 13th century, although there's nothing of that era left. I guess it all came down when it was officially recognized as a spa and the main building era began.
