I've only seen two or three cemetaries in Lithuania and passed by others, but they all appear to be located in woodland, very unlike the bare stretches one finds in the UK. This particular cemetery has some of the features of a national cemetery, although it is never referred to as such, although it is sometimes referred to as Antakalnis Military Cemetery. It has different sections for different occupations, e.g., politicians, military, writers, actors, artists, etc. These days, you are only likely to be interred there if you are famous in one of these areas, or if you are family of someone already buried there. I'll show a few more pics of the cemetery.
