Phone pics - Mandarin duck

One of a pair on one of the ponds in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield.  This duck was introduced as an ornamental variety by those rich enough to have lakes on their properties.  In recent years, however, it has become native, although this is the first time I've seen one in the park - it rather showed up the normal, resident mallard ducks.

Wonderful aren't they. I've seen some in the wild myself but not very often
As a work of decorative art, this duck is a winner.
They, and the wood duck, are the most beautiful of ducks.
Il est magnifique, j'aime beaucoup.
A beautiful bird isn't it.
A fine looking duck Tom
