That is quite good, Tom!
Tom Wilson: Makes a change!
i like that you left the image upside down, Tom. i think it goes better with the title.
Tom Wilson: Yes, I thought that left this way, one gets a proper impression of the camera obscura.

Looks like it was designed for Australia, Tom.
Tom Wilson: That's probably very true, Ray smile

When this picture opened, I immediately thought about the song "Tom, Tom turn around" by The Sweet.
Tom Wilson: But that would have spoiled the effect, and you wouldn't have thought of the song smile

I bet when people first saw these devices they were gobsmacked Tom
Tom Wilson: I imagine they would be, Chris - the fact that they could step outside and see the same view the right way up probably never crossed their minds smile

Ah - I did wonder, Tom
Tom Wilson: It was the first time I'd been in a camera obscura - interesting!
They were wonderful devices
Tom Wilson: Wonders of their age, indeed!

Just like being in Australian Tom.
Tom Wilson: Funny, I didn't experience anything of the kind on my visits to OZ - I guess I must have been upside down, too smile
Imagine that!
Tom Wilson: I wonder what people thought of the world being upside down?
Without these devices being invented there probably wouldn't be any SC, Flickr, Canon, Nikon, et al.
Tom Wilson: And, thank goodness, they managed to get things the right way up!
Fittingly for the Museum of Photography. I would love to see the camera obscura...
Tom Wilson: Yes, it's a nice feature of the Museum. Apparently there's one on the campus of the UNC at Raleigh.
