Borås-street art 4

An installation in the churchyard in Borås. "HOTTEA is an Emmy award winning artist having worked with clients big and small- from private home installations to entities like Google and Viacom. Over the years HOTTEA has been able to balance both corporate commissions while still keeping his roots in street art and graffiti."

The work is entitled "Resting" and is composed of construction site flagging tape of different colours.  The installation was temporary and is no longer available.

You can watch a video here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BY0faTPhcsS/?taken-by=hotxtea

Regarding yesterday's picture: the little sculpture was by  Isaac Cordal who was born in Pontevedra (Galicia, Spain) and currently lives in Brussels.  It was from the 2014 festival and, apparently, there were several of these small people around the town - I shall have to track them down!

C'est original.
Tom Wilson: C'est vrai, Martine - merci!
Such a simple concept - but I would love to watch this dancing in the breeze!
Tom Wilson: You can see that here, Elizabeth: https://www.instagram.com/p/BY0faTPhcsS/?taken-by=hotxtea

This works for me, Tom.
Tom Wilson: And for me - another where I saw the artist setting it up.

I like this burst of colours Tom, they certainly cheer up what looks like an urban scene
Tom Wilson: It certainly did, Chris.

One of those things - I can make it, but I can't conceive it. Even with a simple installation like this, there remains the difference between the artist and I.
Tom Wilson: My feelings too, Louis!
The colors make it for me...and the rustling sound, I hope, in the breeze.
Tom Wilson: An altogether fascinating installation.
It is certainly colourful Tom
Tom Wilson: And dynamic - take a look at the video: https://www.instagram.com/p/BY0faTPhcsS/?taken-by=hotxtea

It is a simple idea but produces quite a dramatic effect Tom.
Tom Wilson: Particularly in the breeze smile

How good you caught it in time, Tom
Tom Wilson: Yes, I was there while it was being installed - a pic of that coming up smile

I love the video and what a clever design. It sure 'lives' and is very colourful.
Tom Wilson: Very dynamic in the breeze!
An art festival that I regularly attend had a similar installation and had lounging chairs below them.
Tom Wilson: That would be a good idea!
Ineffably beautiful...
i would not have realized this is tape used in construction sites, Tom. they look untangled... for now!
