Boras - Street Art 17

Another 'unofficial' installation - again, I think the Textile Department students have had something to do with clothing the rails of the bridge over the River Visken in the centre of the town.

Ici, nous avons eu la même chose sur un pont.
Tom Wilson: Peut-être que les étudiants suédois ont visité smile
Very creative...
Tom Wilson: Brightens up the environs!

A lot of effort has gone into this Tom. I like it
Tom Wilson: On both sides of the bridge, too - a lot of work!

Lots of attractive colour here, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Cheers up a wintry scene!
This is like the yarn bombing you see here
Tom Wilson: I haven't seen any such in Sheffield, Bill - but Martine says the same thing has happened in her home.

Wonderful textiles - so colourful!
Happy Christmas to you and your dears!
Tom Wilson: Thank you Philine - and the same to you!
Colourful creativity
Tom Wilson: Just the words ;-)
i bet it would be interesting to take a closer look at the various patterns, Tom
Tom Wilson: There's certainly plenty of variety!
They certainly look nicer than a load of rusting padlocks!
Tom Wilson: That's certainly true, Brian. By the way, I had to have supplementary treatment after my cataract operations - cells were regrowing behind the new lenses and had to be burned off by laser. It was no problem - just about 15 mins in total and no pain, no anaesthetic. So, if you find your sight deteriorating a little check up on "posterior capsule opacification" smile
It is certainly wonderful for added colour. Best yet it can be laundered and displayed again.
Tom Wilson: Absolutely - or even re-used in another location - I'll check up on it when I'm back there in February!
What amazing colors! What a wonderful thing to come across!
