I'd say they transform it Tom
It is such a pretty plant. The trunks are not so visible that you can imagine the flowers seem to come from the buildings.

I'm with Mary on this one - at first I thought the blossom was coming from the windows.
Those trees give a lovely feel to this street.
I love jacaranda's - I tried to grow one in my garden when I lived in the hills north of Phoenix. Sadly, it didn't do very well.
It does look very nice, Tom. Sorry to read about the trees in your hometown.
