Walking the dog

I took my 60mm lens for a walk in the Botanical Gardens on the first of May - it's a macro lens, but useful for other purposes too.

Yes...a 60 is a useful lens, Tom.
Tom Wilson: A handy small telephoto as well as macro - and the Fujinon gets very good reviews.

such a pretty park

i like the softness my macro lens adds to a distance shot
Tom Wilson: The Botanical Gardens are always worth a stroll.

C'est très beau avec toutes ces jonquilles.
Tom Wilson: Merci, Martine

I have a similar lens. I aught to do the same with mine..
Tom Wilson: I find it is a good idea, from time to time, to fit a different lens from my normal 18-55mm and see what I can do with it.
It looks a pleasant walk, Tom.
Tom Wilson: It is indeed, Frank - the Gardens are a joy at present

well seen, Tom. i like this dog on investigative mood.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Ayush - I was very pleased with this shot.
I use my 60 mm lens a lot. Last night I got a hundred or so shots in the garden with the cats with only that lens on the camera.
Tom Wilson: It's a versatile lens - and the Fujinon glass is excellent.

The dog seems to love the dafs, too. A very nice spring image- and the stoic Brits like to wear short trousers as early as possible.
Tom Wilson: I don't have the same sartorial tastes, Philine - much too cold on the 1st May for shorts, in my opinion!

amazing sharpness! I like the shadows.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Bonnie - yes the Fujinon glass is very good.

Any lens is better than no lens! I hope the lens enjoyed its walk; it helped with a fine photo.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Alan - I think they always enjoy a bit of a breather smile
A lovely image... I really love my 60mm Macro - they do a great job in many situations!
Tom Wilson: Seems as though everyone has one, Elizabeth!
Nice lens. I have a 50mm and a 90mm macro both of which I use quite a lot. I seldom use the 18-55 lens as I use the 10-20 for most everything else
Tom Wilson: I still have a Canon 10-20mm, which I use occasionally on the Fuji, but I'm thinking of getting the Fujinon 23mm, which is well reviewed and may trade it in.
Oh and nice pic by the way
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Bill - I was rather pleased by this one.
