In Chania, Crete.  This cat, like most I saw in Crete, appeared to be feral - very nervous at any approach by a human.  However, it looks reasonably well-fed, so I guess someone was feeding it.

It's strange--cats in foreign countries look just like our domestic cats.

it definitely looks healthy and also independent as you say, feral

No doubt it's very friendly to whomsoever feeds it Tom, cats aint stupid
Tom Wilson: Yes - he seemed to hang around this particular house, so I imagine s/he was fed.
so that's how they are grown in Crete? grin
