Jolie vue sur ces montagnes.
Tom Wilson: Merci, Martine
Wow - that's fantastic, Tom! You can certainly be proud of this shot!
Tom Wilson: It's a pretty inhospitable landscape!

what a vista, Tom!
Tom Wilson: Pretty harsh landscape, eh?
They are great little cameras as you have demonstrated here Tom
Tom Wilson: It certainly is, Bill - I'm always amazed at what it can produce.
Very barren looking countryside isn't it. The big zoom on the TZ's is quite good, I often use in on my 60.
Tom Wilson: It is indeed, Brian.

I used to have a TZ70 but I found then quite noisy at anything above medium ISO. I was impressed with the long zoom, though. Those hills look a bit of a challenge to stroll up.
Tom Wilson: Not very hospitable - I don't use the TZ much in low-light, so high ISO noise is not much of a problem for me. Also, I find that at medium ISO - say 400 - lowish light shots, such as in a poorly lit church, the TZ can produce quite remarkable shots.

Oh, this is a grandious, sublime, lonely mountainscape, and your image is wonderful. I have to look for your camera with such a fine possibility of zooming.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Philine - the original image needed a bit of post-processing with a haze removal filter - I was quite surprised at what resulted! However, the TZ70 is now available for about half its original cost and sometimes less on Ebay smile
it's a fine image of the rugged mountains Tom... the buildings give it scale....petersmile
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Peter - not a lot of sensitivity to the landscape in the architecture!

Impressive view and what an enormous back drop that is, Tom. Love the sun on those mountains.
Wow, the mountains look like piles of tailings or something that odd.
