Very interesting Tom. I am trying to extract any religious content from this
Tom Wilson: Thanks to Louis, I now know that it represents the "Dutch maiden" - the Britannia of the Netherlands. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_Maiden
And a happy birthday to you, young man!

The strength of colour suggests it is a modern window,Tom.
Tom Wilson: Yes, Louis tells me it is 1877.
The Lion looks a bit of a cartoon character Tom
Tom Wilson: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_Maiden - tells me it is the Maiden's companion.

A beast of a window Tom.
Tom Wilson: Oh dear, Chad - kindly leave the stage, we'll let you know!

This stained glass window of the Dutch maiden was made in 1877 and donated by the Dutch Society for Industry and Trade for their 100th anniversary.

The Dutch maiden is something like a national figure symbolising the free spirit of the nation. She is found all over the country in their heraldry. Let me see if I can find something on the net - yes, this Wiki article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_Maiden
Tom Wilson: Thanks for that, Louis - what it is to have insider information smile

Oh, you may wonder. I have in-laws playing instruments and singing in the St Bavo (other name) choir.
a pleasing scene to be found in stained glass work, Tom
Tom Wilson: Very unusual.

quite a variety of scenes in this stained glass

very different from the common stained glass
Tom Wilson: Yes, as Louis suggests, nationalistic, rather than religious.
Some very fine work there.
