Very stately... I wonder if Croome Court could go this route...
Tom Wilson: Only three of the NT properties run as hotels - of course, they are leased to another company for this purpose - Middlethorpe Hall, Bodysgallen in N. Wales (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/features/bodysgallen-hall-and-spa-north-wales), and Hartwell House (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/features/hartwell-house-and-spa-aylesbury).

It is a quite imposing building, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Yes, very elegant.

Quite classic from the look of it Tom
Tom Wilson: Absolutely.
Une couleur originale pour cette grande bâtisse.
Tom Wilson: La couleur des briques varie d'un endroit à l'autre en Angleterre.

a noble manor house, surely a fine hotel. Oh, what did happen to the lawn in this dry summer!
Tom Wilson: A very fine house. And, yes, all the lawns have really suffered from the heatwave we had.
They don't make 'em like this any more smile
Tom Wilson: Not quite like this - but modern, large country houses are still being built in this country - but you'd have to be a multi-millionaire even to talk to the architect! https://www.themodernhouse.com/journal/modern-country-houses-outside-london-going-up-the-country/
Beautiful house isn't it, a nice place to stay I would think, at a price!
Tom Wilson: Yes, it wasn't cheap but it wasn't outlandish either smile
Quite a severe-looking facade.
Tom Wilson: Pretty characteristic of the period.
I wonder if the interior is as symmetrical as the exterior, Tom. With all those windows the rooms must be light & airy.
Tom Wilson: Yes, indeed - lovely rooms.
