Phonne pics - Memorial

In the churchyard of St. Mark's Church, Broomhill, Sheffield. Tweaked a little in Prisma.

I read a review of the Huawei P8 Lite camera yesterday, which claimed it was the best budget phone camera.  f2.0 lens and 12 megapixel sensor - and to think I bought it just because it was the cheapest on offer :-)  I see that their latest offering has a camera produced in association with Leica, so that might be even better.

A glorious headstone indeed Tom but I think you could do with a little more than 12 megapixels to help you capture it
Tom Wilson: I don't think so, Chris - the effect you see is from the Prisma app - my Panasonic TZ70 is also 12MP - and that produced the shot of the Chatsworth party smile I found a nice little quote - "In fact, if the biggest you ever print something is A4, then once you go past about 8 or 9 megapixels you’re not going to see any difference anyway. That’s because you’d have to be able to see more than 300 pixels/dots per inch, and human eyes just aren’t good enough for that."
Not bad for a phone shot Tom. Your quote is often referred to in camera clubs and in mine we most of us work at 300 pdi for even larger print sizes, although the lab I send mine to (Pro-Am in Bradford) prefer 402 dpi.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Brian - yes, sensor size, rather than MP is the key thing - I guess phone-cams have rather small sensors, so the limitation lies there.
i love the Celtic cross and the daffodils Tom... you did well with your phone shot and your treatment....petersmile
