Back in the days they knew how to build walls, Tom. And they are still standing.

Tom Wilson: The Byzantine rule in Crete was from the 3rd to the 9th century. Old enough!
it took a bit of work to restore the old wall Tom... but it is still standing!....petersmile

I think they have been there for a good few years.
