Montreal from the sky

At least, I think this is Montreal - that's the St. Lawrence River down there and I was probably on my way to Halifax, Nova Scotia - the final stop on the trip.

Great view Tom, always fun shooting from planes.
Tom Wilson: One gets a different perspective smile
Well I'll take your word for it!! smile I love aerial shots!
I have canoed the St Lawrence when my father was a professor at St Lawrence University. Although - it's probably not fair to say I actually canoed... because I spent most of the time IN the water dodging mosquitoes!
Tom Wilson: On another trip, driving down the St. Lawrence highway I hit the worst thunderstorm I've ever been in - had to pull of the road because I couldn't see anything!

An attractive view from up here, Tom.

You are a much travelled man Tom
Tom Wilson: A fair bit - but not as much as many!
Do you remember what year this was, Tom??
Tom Wilson: 1986, Ginnie.

You cannot make me more happy than sit at the window and I can look outside if we are above land... Always a joy. I was in Montreal long long time ago... took the greyhound bus across Canada.
Tom Wilson: Fortunately, the British Council was paying for the trip smile

I find it interesting that suburbia can look so boring from above - maybe it is smile
Tom Wilson: It's more or less a synonym for boring, I think, Louis smile
It looks a wide river whichever one it is.
Tom Wilson: The St. Lawrence is a biggie!
A brown time of year. There are three colour seasons, white, brown and green.
Tom Wilson: It may have been late March
I will assume you are correct Tom grin
Tom Wilson: I have to assume that too, Bill smile
