photoblog image Bird man of Adelaide

Bird man of Adelaide

I was in Adelaide, South Australia, visiting relatives and happened upon this biker (evidently, from the helmet!) sitting outside what I think was the city art gallery. He'd obviously formed a close relationship with his feathered friends, one of which was taking a close interest in his sandals. I watched him for several minutes and he didn't move, so quite what his objective was I'm not sure. Anyway, he's doing no harm to anyone :-) - except, perhaps, himself. I wonder if the red, white and blue outfit and the word 'France' on his helmet have any significance?

Sorry Tom, I apologise
Tom Wilson: No need, Rod - ban puns are a hazard of life smile
I wonder if he covered himself with food before you came along. Definitely strange.
All you need is love!
Great capture Tom.

It's a bit like "The Birdman of Alcatraz", Tom smile Interesting combination of safety gear for the bike - a helmet and sandals!
I seen people feed birds from the palms of their hands but this fellow is carrying it to a whole new level. Never seen anything like this. Great capture, Tom.
Mmm, rather him than me.

Great capture but what a nutter, those birds are riddled with diseases
