There is something wonderfully Nordic about this Tom
Tom Wilson: It's the light, isn't it?
It looks a lovely place to be Tom.
Tom Wilson: Very quiet, few people, no bustle = peace!

The tree is also enjoying the view, Tom.
Tom Wilson: And has been for decades, probably smile
what a quiet place
Tom Wilson: The very epitome of peace, Chantal.
All the classical elements for a dime photograph Tom.
Tom Wilson: Not quite sure what a "dime photograph" is, Chad - but I'll take it to mean you like it smile
Very pretty with the silver seas.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Mary.

Just a lake, no name. Reminds me of when I was in the area north of Strömsund in Jämtland County. It was July and there was still snow on the hills. We got out of the car and with bare feet and shorts inspected the snow. Soon found out that when you are on the mossy parts, there are millions of mosquitoes. On one such hill, I stood and could see very far. Just lakes, forests and open spaces. No sign of anyone living there. Then I started wondering - are all those hundreds of lakes named, charted, etc. Have one such lake in my country and it would be a popular destination.

I got to understand the word 'desolate' right there.
Tom Wilson: Actually, it's the biggest lake in Sweden, Lake Vännern, at the southern end where it is fairly narrow. At it's widest, you can just about see the other side. There are more than 90,000 lakes in the country - probably most of them are named - there are three or four fairly small lakes around Borås and all are named.
Looks like a pleasant place for strolling Tom
Tom Wilson: Very much so, Janet.
