It will be worth timelapsing this bud, Tom...hint, hint!
Tom Wilson: Good idea - but not a technique I've ever used, Ray. In any event, that flower has now gone, with another 14 coming along smile

"denudata" seems an apt name, Tom
Tom Wilson: Indeed! I came across it originally in the Botanical Gardens and then bought one for the garden. It only had one blossom last year, but this year it has 15!

Looks good with the raindrops on it. I would expect that this view changes significantly each day now.
Tom Wilson: Yes - it's a small tree and the blossoms come along one after they other, so the blossoming period lasts a few weeks.
A wonderful presentation with the droplets Tom!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Richard - I thought I'd get out there before it all dried off smile
I like the whitish yellow magnolias the best. Most prefer the pink. Nicely presented.
Tom Wilson: This variety is a very delicate, quite small tree - not one of the big, glossy in your face types smile
Poised and ready to go
Tom Wilson: And now gone, Janet - but others coming along.
This is a good shot Tom, I like the echo of the leaf behind it in the background.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Brian - yes, the one behind is another bud at an earlier stage smile
Simple but delightful Tom.
A precious blossom!
