Not many of my attempts at bird photography have survived on the slides from 1970/71 - this is one of the few. It's a Stellar's Jay, whose distribution is in the western states of the USA. This was taken at the oldest winery in the USA, the Buena Vista Winery, Sonoma, California, established in 1857 by the Hungarian Agoston Haraszthy.
