photoblog image St. Nicholas's Cathedral, New Orleans

St. Nicholas's Cathedral, New Orleans

Another scanned slide from either late December 1970 or early January 1971.  The colours in the slide had gone pretty well completely and it was extremely dirty. The sky was a kind of reddish brown - rather as the spires are now.  This result is due to the magic of Photoshop Elements :-)

You may be able to see that the clock says 12.00 - people out in the sunshine, enjoying the fine "winter" weather :-)

...either that, or the clock is stopped, Tom. smile
Tom Wilson: Could be - but I saw it move smile
Your work on it has paid off!!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Elizabeth - it was nice to revive it!

Modern technology seems to have revived it ok Tom
Tom Wilson: Yes, I was happy with the outcome.
I spend time trying to get pictures to look like this....all I needed to do was find some old slides
Tom Wilson: Well, you could try that, Bill - but you seem to do OK without the slides smile
A beautiful result Tom! You seem to master Photoshop Element pretty well.
Tom Wilson: I'd hardly call it mastery, Richard - just a matter of pushing different buttons!
I went there, and lit a candle for my father in law, who died in 2007
Tom Wilson: A nice place for a memorial act, Chantal.
I would love to do some of my slides but lack those skills. Maybe the retirement years....
Tom Wilson: Well, I'm well into those years, Mary smile However, not much skill is needed - I just try pushing different buttons until I get something useable!
A fine looking church.
Tom Wilson: It is indeed, Brian.
