Tom Wilson: Thanks for that, Chris - there were quite a lot of both the white and the pink/red variants in this particular patch of grass beside the lake. They obviously liked it there smile

Could be that, Tom, but looks quite like the bloom of a water hyacinth.
Tom Wilson: It's a much small plant and smaller flower altogether, Ray - and, as usual, Chris is right smile

Very nice too, we had a common purple spotted growing at the edge of our tarmac path at our bowls club, no other ones near by, how strange is that
