Can't blame low Mpix sensor for lack of detail here, Tom...this is almost like you ran it through a "poster" filter.
Tom Wilson: I see what you mean, Ray - perhaps I should have tried that!
What superb details in this scene Tom... your scanning and treatment turned out very well....petersmile
Tom Wilson: It's quite surprising, considering the age of the slides - I was using Ektachrome at the time, which perhaps explains it. I also used Agfa and the colours on those slides are long gone!
a black and white painting
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Bill
The noise gives a nice atmospheric feel to it Tom. Well done!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Richard.

Did you see any beavers here Tom?
Tom Wilson: Nary a one, Chris - mores the pity. Mind you, I was looking for birds, and saw lots of those!
This conversion has worked out very nicely Tom. I like the peaceful atmosphere
Tom Wilson: It is rather tranquil, isn't it?
I actually quite like this in B.& W. Back in the day this would have been referred to as 'Soot and Whitewash'. I used Ektachrome for nearly all my slides in those days.
Tom Wilson: Yes, I thought it fitted, Brian. Certainly Etachrome has survived whereas the Agfa that I preferred at the time has not
This is great Tom, good choice to go b&w.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Chad.
It looks timeless.
Tom Wilson: I guess that's the thing about nature - if we leave it alone!
A fine, moody image...
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Larry.
