This image has stood up rather well to time and processing, Tom.

Grand architecture as befits its function

a very imposing building - and very important as I heard.
Tom Wilson: The second largest national library in the world - the largest is the British Library. Currently, however, the L of C seems to be in trouble - some chatter on the Web about leadership problems.
Certainly a fine building.
