I am enjoying this old stuff, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Glad you like it, Ray - more to come.

Tom Wilson: Thanks, Peter.

Not so many cars around then Tom
Tom Wilson: Most of Colonial Williamsburg is car free, Chris, and I think that only residents and tour buses are allowed in other places.
Virginia really is a beautiful state, Tom, where I was born...in Lynchburg. One day I'd like to go back and explore more of it, since my family moved to Michigan when I was one.
Tom Wilson: So you're Sourthern Girl, eh? smile

I'd only very briefly touched Virginia when I had a visit to Washington DC. This shot, although it shows its age, has retained its colour well.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Alan - I forgot to clean it up! If you are that way again, I can recommend Virginia - the Blue Ridge mountains are wonderful in their autumn colours.

Will you go back, Tom? Or have you been back since?
Tom Wilson: I've been back at least once since then, Lisl.

So different from college's of today.
Tom Wilson: Indeed! Reasonably small for starters!
And if this were my residence Tom, these would be people coming for free coffee and advice on all matters.
Tom Wilson: I'm sure there would be a steady stream, Chad.
I have access to a machine that converts slides. I really should do mine but I don't have that many years left.
Tom Wilson: Not sure what you mean Mary - many years of slides, or many years to come smile Pick out what you think are the most interesting and convert them - do a dozen or so for starters and see if they are worth it. Lots of mine are just, basically, spoiled.
this is a good point of view, Tom. love it
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Ayush.
Not a mobile phone in sight
Tom Wilson: Oh dear, no - long before their invention!
