photoblog image Braganza Landscape

Braganza Landscape

The countryside outside the city of Braganza.  A single shot, twiddled in a new HDR program, Aurora: the demo version is crippled by not allowing Save or Export.  To get this into Elements I had to clip the screen image and paste it.  A pity, since otherwise, the program seems to have a lot going for it.

Some very dramatic colors going on there!
Tom Wilson: I like the painterly effect it produced
A bit too twiddled for me Tom!
Tom Wilson: It's really done much the same as an oil painting filter would have produced, I think. I'm looking at it as a painting rather than a photograph smile

I think Meistertwiddler W J Phillips (no relation) will be proud of you for producing this Tom
Tom Wilson: I'm sure that Lord Phillips could have done this with the meanest of apps smile
The hoops we sometimes have to jump through, Tom!
Tom Wilson: Indeed! I thought that the days of crippled demo programs were gone!

Except for a crisp landscape, I can say I like what I see of Aurora. It is now on my list for investigation.
Tom Wilson: It certainly has some advantages with lots of presets but the capability to change all the components - but I think that much the same can be achieved with other hdr programs.

It makes this a very dramatic scene, Tom
Tom Wilson: More like a painting, I thought, Lisl.
This looks so stone in colour Tom, is that down to HDR?
Tom Wilson: Note sure what you mean, Chad by "stone" ??
Is this still one of the slides?
Tom Wilson: This was a scanned print from 1999, Mary.
I like the final result Tom, even after all the messing about. Best wishes for tomorrow, hope all goes well.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Brian - I'll let you know how it goes smile
lovely, vibrant scene, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Ayush - I rather like the final result smile
This has a bit of a look colourwise of some of the oddball colour films that were around in the 60s and 70s
Tom Wilson: I rather like it, Bill smile
this beautiful HDR image was worth all of that work Tom....petersmile
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Peter - I thought it was rather nice. smile
It certainly has clout
Tom Wilson: Certainly colourful, Martin - otherwise, opinion seems divided, but I like it smile
