Wall Street

Agfachrome turns out not to be a very good film for preservation purposes :-)  So I turned this view of Trinity Church on Wall Street, New York (taken in 1963) into black and white - and even then it looks its age!

That church, assuming it is still there, must be a great New York survivor
Tom Wilson: Indeed - that's Trinity Church, a famous Wall St. landmark, established 1697 - the present building is the third on the site and dates from 1846.
A wonderful timeless perspective Tom!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Richard.
the cars arrest my attention more, Tom. love it!
Tom Wilson: Gas guzzlers of the 1960s! smile
I uses Kodachrome 64 only and it has not lasted well, colourwise.
Tom Wilson: I've found that the best was Ektachrome - they seem to have survived well, but Agfa was cheaper at the time smile
Still a fine image, reflecting the period
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Martin.
I never tried Agfachrome but it does look as though it has lost a lot of detail over the years. That apart is is still a good reminder of your visit and how it as then.
Tom Wilson: I guess that expecting it to hold up for almost 53 years is asking a bit too much, Brian smile

Wonderful processing - I like the eerie look to it.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Beth.
Still it has its charms...
Tom Wilson: I suppose it counts as a vintage archive photo!
