Just sad...
Tom Wilson: It is, rather, although this was just an episode - they were chatting quite actively the rest of the time :-(

Ha Ha

They are probably texting each other...

"That dirty old man on the next table is taking shots of me"

"Shall I go over and break his camera?"
Tom Wilson: Too self-absorbed to notice anything, Ray smile
Ils n'ont rien à  se dire...
Tom Wilson: Peut-être, Martine, peut-être!

Tom Wilson: Could be, Lisl, could be!

Oh gawd..
Tom Wilson: He's probably not taking much notice of us all right now, Chris - written us off as a failed experiment!
He has just sent her a text
Tom Wilson: I wonder what it said - perhaps Ray is right?

Oh yes, so typical- I hope they will have some conversation when the the meal has arrived - it seems to be a noble restaurant.
Tom Wilson: Yes - they were chatting quite actively. Actually, the restaurant was that of the department store, El Corte Ingles, in Lisbon - excellent food smile
Do you suppose they are texting each other Tom, ensuring a discreet conversation.
Tom Wilson: Anything is possible these days, Chad.
Nobody anymore speaks to itself, each has the nose on its telephone for two foreigners sat at the same table. And we claim that our century is the one of the communication .... Well done!
Tom Wilson: The century of mis-communication, perhaps? smile
I find it sad that this is the way of relationships.
Tom Wilson: Just an episode - they were actively engaged with one another the rest of the time smile
Duh... I hate that. ... Good photo though.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Jacquelyn!
He looks up and says, 'Oops, I didn't realise you were here!'
Tom Wilson: He, he! Fortunately, they proved to be quite communicative, once they'd checked their mail smile
These things are affecting relationships...
