Good that it has some, Tom.
Tom Wilson: It has a lot, Ray - some of it medieval.

We are today on the same page... what a great place to be. Short of eyes all the time. The stained glass is fabulous.
Tom Wilson: It was well worth the visit!
You made a success of a beautiful capture although stained-glass windows are difficult to photograph, especially the clear stained-glass windows, because of the back light
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Marie - yes, this was a tricky one - needed a little help from Lightroom smile
The more you look, the more you see, the artwork above the actual windows.
Tom Wilson: Indeed!

The art-work Ginnie mentions is elsewhere in the Cathedral too - it is so very delicately painted
Tom Wilson: Yes, I noticed that - very nicely done.

Possibly older than Victorian from the look of it Tom
Tom Wilson: Could be, since I believe there is still some medieval glass in Wells.

I find the arched vaults very interesting. They were also clever back then.
Tom Wilson: They knew what they were doing, didn't they?

a very fine photo of the stained glass windows
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Philine.
I love the painted parts of the stone frame and of course the glass.
Tom Wilson: Yes, it's a nice feature.
Between the you and Astrid we are being spoilt with pictures of Wells cathedral today.
Tom Wilson: It must be "Wells Cathedral Day" smile
When were these photos taken.
Tom Wilson: Just last summer - we stopped in Wells overnight on the way back from Plymouth.
Two pictures of Wells today. Both to be enjoyed
Tom Wilson: Glad you like them, Bill

Very delicate work but the look of it; the lead work looks much finer than what I've seen elsewhere.
