Forever time-frozen...
Tom Wilson: Well, not exactly - except in the pic, of course ;-)

is the statue a living person pretending to be a statue ?

very intriguing
Tom Wilson: Indeed, that is the case Sherri - one finds them in all the tourist spots around Europe.
Not seen that one before, Tom, the dogs good at it. smile
Tom Wilson: I think the dog has natural talent, Frank smile
That's a new one on me!
Tom Wilson: Me too!
J'aime bien ce genre de personnage. Cela ne doit pas être facile de rester immobile.

That must be a hard pose to maintain Tom.
Tom Wilson: He broke off a couple of times to wave to the kid.
WOW. That's a good one, Tom!
Tom Wilson: Different, isn't it?

He's not getting a lot of notice. The "statue" in Bath gets covered in pigeons!
Tom Wilson: Not many pigeons around - mainly gulls, but they didn't approach him.
These people who do this are very clever, it must take a long time to condition ones self to do this.
Tom Wilson: Not something I'd take on!
They still keep popping up! What a way to earn a living
Tom Wilson: Certainly not for me!
A different one.
Tom Wilson: Yes, I've never seen one like this before!

the dog lying there was why i thought it was a living man

the man looks like he would be quite uncomfortable in a short time period

(one of my sisters modeled in department stores as a live mannequin when she was young)
Tom Wilson: It's amazing how long some of these people maintain a position - this guy was amusing the little girl by breaking off from his pose and waving to her, then reassuming the pose, so he was having a bit of a break.
If he ever finishes sawing that board, Tom, the piece will land on the sleeping doggie.
