A bit of a mystery! This entrance to something or other is at one side of the park in the centre of Borås - which is on a rocky outcrop. The only thing that occurs to me is that it may have been intended as a nuclear bunker. If it was for anything other than persons, I think the door would have been bigger. Later, I found the map of the "skyddsrum" - shelters, or literally, "protection rooms", and, sure enough, one of them is this shelter under the park, and I'm amazed at how many more are on the map! There are two in the university building I work in and one in the hotel which is part of the same block.
