Taylor's Eye Witness Works

Taylor's has been making knives of all kinds and scissors in Sheffield for about 150 years.  This is in their original factory in the centre of Sheffield, now to be converted into apartments.  This is where the Mausoleum of the Giants exhibition was held.  Their present factory is a rather smaller and much less complicated structure, just a few miles away.  Among other things, they manufacture the Sabatier brand of kitchen knives.

I would never have guessed the purpose of this Tom. Sabatier - very up-market..
Tom Wilson: All of their stuff seems to be pretty up-market! http://taylors-eye-witness.co.uk/brands/taylors-eye-witness-knives/
That's pretty cool! I like your treatment - makes the photo look almost as old as the building must be!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Elizabeth - it seemed appropriate for the subject smile

I don't suppose they will keep features like this?
Tom Wilson: I doubt it - they'll probably keep only the external shell - https://www.eyewitness-sheffield.com/

What an odd looking construction.
Tom Wilson: I thought you'd appreciate this marvellous pipeage, Chad smile
Goodness knows what thatw as a chimney from.
Tom Wilson: Beats me, Brian - some fiery furnace inside presumably!
I suppose it is too much to hope this wonderfully weird bit will survive Tom
