Je n'aime pas trop les scènes de chasse que je trouve brutales.
Tom Wilson: Ah oui, c’était une époque brutale.
It looks rather cruel Tom...
Tom Wilson: Brutal times, Frank.

I have never seen painted plaster depicting a real scene from life
Tom Wilson: The Great Hall at Hardwick has this huge frieze above the tapestries.
It's so 3-D, Tom!
Tom Wilson: It is indeed!

My eyes water just looking at this scene.
Tom Wilson: Not exactly a scene of pastoral pleasures smile

Not a fat chance that he will escape here, Tom... what great details here and I think the cook can start up the fire in the kitchen....
Tom Wilson: No chance at all, Astrid - and the spit is already in place in the kitchen smile

That thing looks like a cross between a wolf and a bear. Getting speared in the part of the rump, that is all bone.
Tom Wilson: I think it is supposed to be wild boar.
ye gods!
Tom Wilson: Heavy stuff, eh?
Where that bloke is putting his weapon makes yer eyes water!
Tom Wilson: Probably made the boar wince, too!
That is very good isn't it.
Tom Wilson: Amazing stuff - all the way round the walls too, above the tapestries.

Ohh - no RSPCA in those days!
Tom Wilson: All was fair game!
it's great painting of the hunt Tom... but i feel sorry for the boar....petersmile
Tom Wilson: At least they would use it for food - not just killing for pleasure!
Harsh realities........now it all comes packaged nicely!
