A quorie, perhaps?
Tom Wilson: Yes, indeed, Ray - a slate quarry - Welsh slate covers millions of roofs in the UK smile
lovely shades of blue in the sky and the water, Tom. what are those steppes?
Tom Wilson: That's the remains of a slate quarry, Ayush - no longer operative, I think.
You certainly had a lovely view!
Tom Wilson: Wonderful views all the way to the top - lots of them coming up smile

We must be near the top, it looks very high.
Tom Wilson: Actually, it is only about five minutes up from the station!
When you are sure you can see forever!
Tom Wilson: Wait until you see the views from the summit!

That is some magnificent view from the train, Tom.
Tom Wilson: One of the best reasons for taking the trip, Astrid. I did think of walking up, but the idea of a six hour round trip put me off!
Really beautiful scenery Tom, a super photo! smile
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Martin.
What a vista and different views than you would get in a car.
Tom Wilson: Yes, you couldn't get a car up there smile
You were fortunate to get good weather Tom, that old Slate quarry looks to be a long way above terra firma.
Tom Wilson: Yes, it was a beautiful morning.
A fine view to start our ascent Tom
Tom Wilson: Fine views all the way up and down, Bill.
