It can certainly advertise "Waters Edge", Tom.
Tom Wilson: No doubt it does, Ray smile That's the main hotel down there.
this angle makes it look like a small, cozy community, Tom.
Tom Wilson: It's certainly quite small, but I don't think there's much of a community, as it is practically all holiday accommodation of one kind or another.
Nice shot Tom, a view of it I haven't seen before.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Frank - you'll see some you have seen before smile
Jolie vue sur ces maisons.
Tom Wilson: C'est l'hôtel principal!

It is a stunning location for the ‘village’.
Tom Wilson: I never saw that programme - perhaps it will appear on one of the repeat channels one of these days.

I like seeing places at low tide..

Low tide adds to the picture, Tom. What a great location this is.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Astrid - it certainly is a lovely spot, but it exists solely to attract visitors! "Portmeirion is now owned by a charitable trust, and has always been run as a hotel, which uses the majority of the buildings as hotel rooms or self-catering cottages, together with shops, a cafe, tea-room, and restaurant. Portmeirion is today a top tourist attraction in North Wales and day visits can be made on payment of an admission charge." Wikipedia
Some lovely sandbars to explore.
Tom Wilson: Or perhaps to ground your yacht on smile
A nice sheltered spot smile
