Very fine craftsmanship. I wonder how old it is?
Tom Wilson: I can't find anything about it, Chris - other than it is in Prior Bird's chantry chapel.

Looks quite modern - and I thought abbeys and such were all closed long ago.
Tom Wilson: The monasteries were dissolved by Henry VIII and many of the buildings were ruined, but many remain - the cathedrals, for example. Henry needed the money he got from selling off the monasteries' lands and treasures.
I like the setting it is in Tom
Tom Wilson: Yes, rather plain, with simple decoration - nice.

Simple but beautiful, Tom. I like the backdrop here with the designs.
Tom Wilson: Yes, I thought it a very peaceful scene.
Simple and yet elegant, Tom.
Tom Wilson: It is indeed, Ginnie.

It looks quite plain.
Tom Wilson: That's what appealed to me.
There is a real orthodox look to this.
Tom Wilson: I see what you mean, Care.
It is a beautiful crucifix and in a good setting without other stuff to draw ones attention away from it.
Tom Wilson: Yes, nice and simple.

I like the simple setting wit just the one candle.
Tom Wilson: Yes, I liked that, too.
Nicely presented Tom! I like the lighting smile
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Martin.
