photoblog image Bath-Beckford's Tower

Bath-Beckford's Tower

"Built between 1826 and 1827, Beckford’s Tower is an extraordinary building that was once home to one of the greatest collections of books, furniture and art in Georgian England and now stands as the only surviving example of William Beckford’s great architectural achievements." (https://beckfordstower.org.uk)

My thanks to Chris and Chad for enabling me to get to the tower and take this picture.

You are in the best of hands, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Absolutely, Ray!
It really is a grand building Tom.
Tom Wilson: It seems now to have been converted into holiday flats.

I'm extremely glad to have been of assistance Tom
Tom Wilson: My thanks again, Chris - it made our day!
You had knowledgable guides then Tom
Tom Wilson: The best possible, I imagine.

I’m always glad when these visits are appreciated Tom. It was well worth for this excellent photograph.
Tom Wilson: We really enjoyed the day, Chad - and it was Chris who pointed out this view to me smile
It loks and sounds an interesting place to visit.
Tom Wilson: Very much so - I wish we had been there when it was open.

it's a beautiful structure and your processing really lends itself to the scene
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Sherri. Beckford had the misfortune to be homosexual when the penalty was death - so he spent a good deal of time outside of England.
