Botanical Gardens - main path from entrance Eastwards

Lisl kind of suggested that she'd be interested to have a tour of the Botanical Gardens, so, on Wednesday, I took my phone-cam (or cam-phone) for a walk around the Gardens.  You have been warned!

This is a view down the main pathway from the entrance downhill towards the East. As you can see-a beautiful day.

The Gardens cover 19 acres (7.68 hectares), with 5,000 species of plants and the national collections of Sarcococca, Weigela, and Diervilla.  You can download a map to follow me around from http://www.sbg.org.uk/map-of-the-gardens-2/

I'm looking forward to this Tom, it sounds and looks like a lovely place
Tom Wilson: It has been well-restored after years of neglect by the local authority.
Sounds good to me Tom
Tom Wilson: Hope you enjoy it, Bill
The dappled shade is beautiful here - inviting.
Tom Wilson: Ideal on such a sunny day.
This is a lovely entrance Tom, just the sort of place we like. Looking at the map I think a train ride to Sheffield might be on the cards at some time in the far and distant future.
Tom Wilson: You'll be very welcome, Brian - I'll be happy to show you round.

Our daily paper provides us with a long read article a couple of times a week ...and you, Tom ...are giving us the long view... Many thanks
Tom Wilson: Well - I don't know about the long view, but it's going to be a fairly lengthy one smile
