Niagara falls-2

The falls closest to the camera are the Canadian Falls, the more distant, the American Falls and the bridge is the International Rainbow Bridge between the American city of Niagara Falls, and the Canadian city of the same name. Not a very good pic, but it is a scan of a 34-year old print :-)

What a sight to see Tom !
Tom Wilson: Indeed it was, Frank - I recommend that time of year for a visit!
With the narration it works nicely!
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Elizabeth

Impressive, Tom
Tom Wilson: It certainly is - I don't know how many millions of gallons pour over those falls in a day, but it must be considerable! Later:

"3,160 tons of water flows over Niagara Falls every second. This accounts for 75,750 gallons of water per second over the American and Bridal Veil Falls and 681,750 gallons per second over the Horseshoe Falls."

I'm sure the scene looks exactly the same today as it did then Tom
Tom Wilson: I suspect there will be more high rise buildings in both cities by now, Chris, but the Falls will look very similar.

Again a view I have not seen before Tom. The snow quite transforms the scene.
Tom Wilson: Quite magical!
Fair enough then! My daughter Kathryn has been here but I doubt I ever will
Tom Wilson: There's still time, Bill smile
You've got the lot Tom, including the rainbow. One wonders quite how they managed to build that bridge.
Tom Wilson: Bridge builders always have my admiration! Did you see the TV programme on the building of the Tyne Bridge? Amazing.

Snow or foam? It does give the general idea and not so bad at all.
Tom Wilson: Snou, Louis - and ice - lots of it.

i aways felt like the Canadian side was the most beautiful

you had a terrific vantage point and i love the film
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Sherri - seeing the two together is quite something.
Wow, that must be loud, Tom!
Tom Wilson: A continuous roar, Martin:
"3,160 tons of water flows over Niagara Falls every second. This accounts for 75,750 gallons of water per second over the American and Bridal Veil Falls and 681,750 gallons per second over the Horseshoe Falls."
Nice that you captured a rainbow.
The sound must have been a roar.
