For that part of the world Tom...smile
Tom Wilson: Yes, I've no idea of their actual age.

I am enjoying this old stuff, Tom.
Tom Wilson: Glad you like, Ray - the virus is reducing opportunities for new pics!
Looks like the 70's... ?
Tom Wilson: 1986 for the pic - older surely for the houses? Early 20th century?

Wooden houses, something we don't see much in the UK
Tom Wilson: But the standard in N. America - houses are built by carpenters, not builders smile
Seems odd to see that style of house with a flat roof
Tom Wilson: It is rather strange - I'd have thought the weather would have made pitched roofs essential!

I would imagine that wood cladding could harbour insects.
Tom Wilson: I've never heard of that as a problem in the US and Canada - except of course for termites.
This could be taken on any street in Charlottetown at that time. We have basically the same style.
Tom Wilson: I vaguely recall something similar in suburban Toronto - probably a common style of the day - rather like the designs one could buy from the Sears catalogue, once upon a time smile
it's a wonderful street scene in Halifax Tom... i like the soft tones and shadows....petersmile
